I’m back from travels and vacations and settling in for a little Fall dyeing and knitting. While I was judging yarns at the San Mateo County Fair someone asked me what my favorite yarn was and why.
The reason I like the yarns I do have to do with the quality of the fibers as well as the way the yarn feels and handles. I like quality. If I’m going to spend time choosing colors, dyeing yarns and knitting or weaving with them I want the experience to be enjoyable as well as have the finished product look fabulous and reflect the time and effort I put into it. There is nothing more disappointing than to have a final garment pill or look sloppy because the yarns didn’t hold up!
In my next few posts I’ll showcase my favorites. Its so nice to be home again!
